CLERGY: can you answer a serious question about the Crucifixion?

Jesus claimed to be son of God; for the Jews who didn't believe him, this was the height of blasphemy. Imagine today if you got a bunch of fundamentalist Christians together and there was an atheist there telling them that Jesus and Judas were gay lovers. That's how the Jews felt. They were cool with Jesus up until he flat-out claimed to be divine.
