Did Jesus want his followers to be part of an organized religion?
Jesus himself instituted the ministry and the christian congregation, he was very organized, he prayerfully chose his disciples, taught them. on his third tour of preaching in Galilee, he sent his disciples out by twos to preach in the city's, giving them instructions on how to preach to the householder, because he felt pity for the people, they were like sheep without a shepherd, skinned and thrown about. He tells his disciples "Yes, the harvest is great, but the workers are few. Therefore, beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest" Matthew 9:35-10:15; Mark 6:6-12. A year later he sends out 70 disciples by twos. Luke 10:1-6. There are thousand organizations, but the one who imitates Jesus example, and does the work he did, is the one to follow. Jesus foretold that his followers would do work greater than he did. John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father" (KJV)
