Christians,Why have many sincere people become disillusioned or have lost their faith in God and in the Bible?

Maybe people are realizing it was only a great big scam, as we now know it was made up by the Roman Catholic Church, and came from a number of writings, we have more evidence that we were engineered by advanced beings from another planet, as we explore our ancient past.
