The Estates-General of 1789 in the French Revolution?
For clarification, they basically people that the King called upon that included those in the three estates. THey had a list of grievances that came in and it showed that there had to be reforms needed. Then Abbe Sieyes had a pamphlet that said how the nation and third estate were the same. Then the majority of third estate won that the estates should meet separately. The deputies of third estate then became Nation Assembly on June 17 and many lower clergy and some nobles joined. They had a meeting to take an oath at the indoor tennis place(king closed their original meeting place) on june 20 and would not separate until a constitution has been made.
