What are some of the perks Jehovah's Witness Clergy Class enjoy that regular members do not?
Jehovah's Witnesses do not have a clergy class like most religions. Each congregation (the building where the meet, like a church) has a body of elders that will mevariedgether and discuss matters of the congregation, make shepherding calls (they check up on fellow witnesses that havent been active or that are ill to see how they are doing and if they need any help getting to the meetings), and make sure the costs of the building are being payed for. Also unlike other religions, Jehovah's Witnesses don't demand money from members of the organization, instead, everyone donates money for the costs of their Kingdom Hall. The "clergy class" does not obtain any more luxury than regular members of the congregation. Circuit overseers don't have a home since they travel around their assigned territory. They visit congregations, upbuild and encourage the brothers and sisters. Because they have no permanent home, everyone does their best to make arrangements for them to stay somewhere until they leave. They may stay at someones home or somewhere else safe. Other than that, no one gets any special treatment. Any other questions? I'd be happy to answer them! :)
